Marina's Positive Pathways Programs are designed around the Mental and Emotional well-being of all children.

​

The focus of each program will be

tailor-made to the school and its pupils.

Themes may include: confidence and self-belief, goal-setting and achievement, dealing with fears, time management and personal organisation, managing stress.

The aim of my coaching in schools is to encourage:

  • Greater individual responsibility.

  • Increased confidence and self-belief/ self-worth.

  • Greater broader thought process, calm, clear,peaceful mindsets.

  • Greater positive attitudes and behaviours.

  • Improved focus and motivation.

  • Recognised personal and professional success.

Each Program will be designed around your schools specific wants and needs. 
I will work closely with the heads of each school and year heads to access and diagnose what I can do, then we will work together as a unit to bring about a plan that will make the enhancements to benefit the children, the teachers and the school as a whole.

 "This is about equipping these children with the strategies that will take them through not only school, but into adulthood, so that they will form a healthy mindset for life, maintain a confident sense of who they are, positive connections to others and a prosperous, positive and healthy outlook about their future."

 

Self-esteem increases their confidence having a huge impact on their mental and emotional well-being

Building self-esteem is a big step towards improving happiness and a chance for a better life.

 

If they have confidence they will respect themselves and all others. Self-esteem is related to yourself and the value you have of yourself.

"There is so much we can do in terms of supporting our young people.

To help them recognise their true potential and become able to respond to specific conditions that they, or their friends may be facing. We have an opportunity to help give them the foundations in which to build upon."

 

WHY USE THE POSITIVE PATHWAYS PROGRAMS?

Positive Pathways gives children of all ages a safe, enthusiastic environment and comfortable outlet with which to express their feelings, needs, and ideas. Their answers within each session will provide a valuable insight for themselves to build on and to all adults who might be trying to understand the child's feelings, motives and behaviors.

With each coaching program I will tailor my exclusive worksheets to help the children and address a variety of issues related to identity, behavior, self-esteem, character, emotional management, social skills and much much more! 

why use worksheets?

The sub-conscious mind will recognise words symbols more than just speaking the words. It will stick, it is how the mind learns and remembers.

Worksheets are a way of interacting in a fun, safe and non-intrusive way.  

To enable the student to be open and express feelings without feeling pressured in a group environment. 

Often times, children don't want to talk face to face with a parent, therapist or teacher. They find it uncomfortable, embarrassing, and sometimes even intimidating.

worksheets take those uneasy feelings away and allow children to express themselves in a more relaxed and non-threatening manner.

Children are wonderful imitators, so make sure you are playing a positive role in their lives.

They learn through observation of the world around them, what you are being is what they could become.

MY CONCLUSION

  • Mental and Emotional well-being coaching is not the only tool in the bag for you when thinking about how you can support the Mental and Emotional well-being of your students , however, it is an attractive one.

​

  • It is simple – a naturally occurring way of communicating – not a programme so to speak, it is implemented as and when appropriate.

​

  • Mental and Emotional coaching also improves your teacher-pupil relationships, thereby negating one of the known barriers to implementing SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) approaches in your schools.

  • Your students who are known to need additional support will receive empathic and compassionate responses and support with problem-solving. This will enable your students to develop trust in staff and be supported in learning to manage their emotions.

​

  • Your students who may have SEMH needs at times during their  schooling will have their occasional needs met. Furthermore, through the Mental and emotional well-being coaching, staff will also develop their capacity to act sportively for all their pupils.
